Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment Captures 5A State Championship Title — Their Ninth FMBC Win

Parkland, FL — The Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment made history again tonight, capturing the Florida Marching Band Championships (FMBC) Class 5A State Championship Title in Miami, Florida. The victory marks the program’s ninth state championship and adds another milestone to its legacy of excellence.
In addition to the overall 5A championship, both the Color Guard and Percussion were named State Champions in their respective captions, highlighting the program’s strength across every section of performance.
Performing their 2025 production, “Whispers of Arrakis,” the Eagle Regiment delivered a visually stunning and musically powerful show that captivated both audiences and judges alike. The band earned top honors in Music, Visual, and General Effect, showcasing the precision, artistry, and emotion that have become hallmarks of the Stoneman Douglas program.
Director of Bands Jeancarlo Napoles said “This achievement reflects the relentless dedication, passion, and teamwork of every student, staff member, and parent who supports this program. We’re incredibly proud of how our students represent the spirit and pride of Stoneman Douglas.”
Dean Broadbent, Director of Color Guards added, “Our students gave everything they had tonight. To see the Color Guard and Percussion both take home State titles alongside the full ensemble’s championship is beyond incredible — it’s a reflection of their heart and unity.”
The Eagle Regiment’s victory continues a legacy of excellence that spans more than three decades. The band will now prepare for their upcoming performances as they represent the school and community at the highest levels of national competition.
