Evan Zubkovs

Evan Zubkovs was born and raised in Huntington, NY. He started his marching career at Walt Whitman High School, where he was a member of the drumline all four years. While doing High School band, he was also involved with a local independent Winter Guard called Saturday Matinee. Evan’s passion for color guard during High School prompted him to expand his marching resume, and decided to march in Alter Ego Winter Guard in 2005 and 2006. From there, he went on to march in the renowned Blessed Sacrament Winter Guard from 2007 to 2010, and was one of the captains in 2010. He was also honored to be chosen as a member of The Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps in 2008 & 2009, gaining invaluable experience that brought him into the future. 
Evan transitioned to the educational side of the marching arts when he moved to South Florida in 2010. From then to present day, his major work has been as a choreographer and technician for the world-renowned Flanagan High School Color Guards. Other teaching experiences include the Blessed Sacrament Winter Guard, the West Broward High School Color Guards, the Boston Crusaders Drum & Bugle Corps., and most recently, the Stoneman Douglas High School Color Guards.
