Eagle Regiment Family,
I hope everyone is having a fantastic summer! I loved seeing all the hard work going on with video submissions and sectional photos that have been happening to prepare for the season.
We are all hard at work preparing for Band Camp 2 next week and there is A LOT happening! We will move right into learning the show's drill (movements) at Monday’s camp. Our band parents will be fitting Eagle Regiment uniforms (Maroon) for Grades 10-12 on Tuesday and Grades 8 and 9 on Wednesday. Most all store orders are in and will be sorted and distributed on Friday.
Students/Parents should continue to check The BAND App for posts as well as sectionals for those that are in town.
ANNOUNCEMENTS & UPCOMING EVENTS:
BAND CAMP 2 IS MONDAY - SATURDAY, JULY 25 - JULY 30
(Mon - Fri times are 1 PM - 9 PM, & Saturday times are 10 AM - 8 PM)
**FRONT ENSEMBLE IS TO ARRIVE AT 12PM on Monday to unload instruments from the truck.
PRE-PARTICIPATION PHYSICAL FORMS and INSURANCE CARDS:
The Pre-Participation Physical is due at Band Camp 2 and requires a Doctor's signatures. If you have not completed the form, please schedule your doctor's appointment. This form is available in the "Files" section of The BAND app.
If you have not turned in a copy of your insurance card, please turn it into the MEPA office when you arrive at band camp 2.
DUES:
All dues through July should now be paid. Our treasurer has been sending monthly charms statements. Accounts not current will not be participating in band camp 2. Past due accounts will also impact ability to perform at games and competitions. Payments are due the 15th of each month with the final payment due on October 15th. Please keep in mind the program membership payments are necessary to book our travel plans and pay our support staff. INSTRUMENT RENTAL:
Instrument rental information has been posted to band app. Please secure your instrument for the season now.
SENIOR BANNERS:
Senior Banner pictures will be taken during Band Camp 3 on Monday, August 8th. These banners will be hung on the bleachers during our marching season and returned to students at our end of year banquet. The banner cost is $40, payable directly to Leigh W Photo. More details can be found on the flyer on band app. Reach out to Mrs. Susman at MEPAVP@eagleregiment.com with any questions and to advise if you will be having your photo taken.
LETTERMAN JACKETS:
We will be doing our final collection of letterman jacket orders for 2022. This form is available in the "Files" section of The BAND app. Forms and payment to NEFF (cash or check only) must be turned in by Friday, August 12 at Band Camp 3. A reminder that this jacket is required for all those attending the London trip and will also be required for next years NY trip. LONDON:
It is still not too late to join this amazing experience although the final commitment deadline is approaching. There will be a mandatory parent information meeting for all travelers on Thursday, July 28 at 7:30pm. Important information will be provided including passport information and copies due date of August 10th, required forms and more. We will also be voting on certain decisions as a group at this time only.
**Please note that all passengers must have a valid passport. All US passports must have a validity in excess of 6 months after the date of return to US (January 3).
