Logistics for the Parade

Maroon Costumes will be sent home Monday evening from Parade Practice. You must get your uniform before leaving that evening.

MEET TIME is 5:00 pm on Wednesday at Burger King (10494 W Sample Rd, Coral Springs, FL 33065) in full MAROON uniform with instruments and equipment with festive headgear (Santa hat, etc) instead of shakos. The roads close at 5 PM, so please plan accordingly.

Every student is required to transport their own instrument to and from the parade.

SOUSA and BATTERY: please plan accordingly. Everyone must leave cases in your car.

IF YOU ARE BEING DROPPED OFF: The parade committee asks those to be dropped off at the Coral Springs Center for the Arts (2855 Coral Springs Dr, Coral Springs, FL 33065) and WALK to Burger King around the corner. Try to have your parent drop you off as close to the Burger King as possible. If that does not work because of traffic, etc, just get dropped off at the Coral Springs Center of the Arts.

IF YOU ARE DRIVING YOURSELF: A free bus shuttle to the parade staging area is available to parade participants. Park in the City Hall parking garage (9500 W Sample Rd, Coral Springs, FL 33065) Buses will be leaving from the City Hall Parking Garage from 5 to 6:45 pm ONLY. Please arrive early if you are to ride the shuttle.

Our parade route ends at the Village Square (off of Sample Rd/University Dr, across the street from City Hall) parking lot on the northwest corner of Sample Road and University Drive.

PARENTS: please be ready to pick your students up at Village Square at 8:00 PM (or as soon as we complete our march in the parade)

Important A Guard Update

We want to inform our Eagle Regiment families that the Stoneman Douglas JV Winter Guard will not be competing this winter season due to low student enrollment. While this is never an easy decision, we remain committed to providing the best possible experience for all of our students therefore the World Guard will continue as normal.

If any students who planned on participating in the JV team are still interested in marching this winter, we encourage you to see Mr. B right away to discuss other opportunities within the program.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our Color Guard program.

For specific times and details, please check the calendar at eagleregiment.com or reach out with any questions.

Member Paperwork Is Due

Winterguard participants were required to submit all paperwork to Mr. Broadbent by 12/5. The deadline has passed, so please turn in your forms as soon as possible.

FLOOR CREW

In order for our World and A to have seamless performances, we are looking for students who would like to earn service hours and support our winter guards. This would mean going with the teams to their competitions. You would help load/unload the truck, fix props as needed and would help set the floor and props. Floor crew is a big part of the winter season and would love if we could get more student volunteers! If you are interested, you can fill out this form: https://wkf.ms/485wSzp
